gettin' there--"in" there, that is: ACT II of the 60's is on the way, day by day, bit by bit, shit by Bullshit from the Man and flaccid complacent elements of even the counterculture. I suggest revisiting not only Burroughs and Morrison, but Rousseau, who really got the whole thing off the ground when he showed up rather casually attired and unshaven at a royal performance of his operetta or whatever. Then there was Blake, who saw and wrote and drew and engraved his almost daily Apocalyptic Visions. And, of course, Thomas Paine, Thoreau, Nietzsche (especially "Zarathustra"), Jack London--all of whom were highly INDIVIDUALISTIC and with vastly different takes on "Society". Kerouac, Ginsberg, Snyder--all worth another look, and also the astrological visionary Dane Rudhyar. Each was "in" and each unique and even self-contradictory at times and HEY, BABY, SUCH IS THE STUFF OF LIFE!!!!!!!!
